Just received my insert today. Installed in about 20 min including getting tools together and jacking up the car. Installation itself took about 5 minutes, and most of that was just re-lubing the insert to get it into the mount.

Took it for a spin around the neighborhood, and it certainly makes a positive difference.

I barely noticed any additional vibration at idle, and just a bit at very low RPM while accelerating.

With DSG, the shifts are ridiculously fast and smooth. In fact they're barely perceptible.

I'm extremely impressed with DSG, and this insert really allows DSG gearboxes to showcase what they're made for.

This mount is great, the price is good, and I definitely recommend it.

This was literally the first thing I put on (in?) my '17 GLI after taking delivery of it. The difference in my shifts was astounding. Fair warning: I have the 6-speed manual, so DSG may vary slightly. Also, there is a noticeable amount of vibrations pushed into the cabin. After nearly 6 months with this installed, I know there are vibrations, but I couldn't tell you what it felt like before, and its only super noticeable when you start to get going from a dead stop. But I'd be more than willing to spend this small amount of money, and deal with vibrations for the increase in driver feel during a shift, ten times over! Highly recommended, cheap, and easy mod!

Shipping was quick. The item fit perfectly. If you are doing this upgrade from the ground and not on a lift, use your floor jack and a piece of wood (or something flat), to push the piece flush into the mount. Took about 20 minutes. I felt the effects immediately and the effects are desirable. Smooth shifts and no wheel hop on a hard launch (dsg). Great product!!!

At under $40 and only a 15 minute install, this is a great deal.
