IE Stage 1 ECU Tune

IE's motorsport inspired software brings track-ready ECU programming to your Audi S4, S5 or A6 while retaining factory comfort and reliability. Developed in-house, IE engineers are equipped with industry leading tuning technology to completely reverse engineer the factory mapping and safely modify it to maximize performance. Years of professional tuning high-powered race vehicles and intimate knowledge of the VW & Audi engines results in a wicked fast car on the street or the track. Your new software tune is easily uploaded to your factory installed ECU (engine control module) without touching a wrench in your own driveway.

Easy At-Home Tune Install

Required to flash your new tune, IE's DIY Flash Tool allows you to quickly upload your tune from your own garage or driveway. This OBD plug-in device is easy to use with a Windows powered laptop and WiFi connection. Your new tool also includes the abilities to switch between multiple octane files (available separately), reading and clearing diagnostic codes, upgrading Stages, or flashing back to stock. 

Upgrading Tunes

Already have an IE Stage 1 tune and IE DIY Flash Tool? Upgrading to Stage 2 or beyond is easy! You only pay the difference in cost between the files with no additional or hidden fees. Once the required supporting hardware is installed, simply plug in your DIY Flash Tool and follow the instructions on your screen to purchase and flash the upgrade file.

Dynometer Optimized

After completely reverse engineering the factory ECU, our engineers use our in-house Dynapack DP42 dynamometer to perform repeated runs to test each change that is made to the software and confirm drivability in any situation. This ensures IE performance software delivers massive horsepower and torque increases across the entire powerband. Using our in-house dyno and advanced tuning tools, IE engineers have fully optimized every aspect of the factory ECU mapping on many different vehicles. This produces a tune that retains all factory like driving and safety protocols when needed, and an intense surge of power when you want it.

Removed Speed Limiter

The factory ECU speed limiter has been removed to make sure the increased power and torque can be used to its full potential on straightaways and drag strips.

 

Improved Throttle Response

To further increase the responsive feel of the car, IE engineers have carefully adjusted the throttle sensitivity. This offers a more connected feeling to your car with plenty of power available right beneath your foot.

Optimized Fueling

All IE tunes have been adjusted to run as economically as possible, dialing in air/fuel ratios to exactly where they need to be. With an IE performance ECU flash, it is common to see increased fuel economy under cruising and part-throttle driving.

    Ordered the Stage 1. Shipped quickly. Simple to flash. So far so good. I'll likely go for the Stage 2 in the future. It was well worth the money for me. Thanks!

  • Beware, A6's with Bolt-On Pulley!

    I spent well over $1000 only to be told that my 2017 Audi A6's software was only in the BETA phase. If your car has the bolt-on style supercharger pulley, you will not be able to flash your ECU currently. IE was very helpful and polite, but that still doesn't change my disappointment. They offered a refund and insisted that it was entirely their fault but I wanted other A6 owners to be aware that the Stage 1 tune is still in development. There should be a notice on the website alluding to this.

  • IE Stage 1 Tune

    This mod should be first on the "to do" list for anyone who owns a b8/b8.5 s4. It's worth every penny plus you do it at the comfort of your home. took no more than 30mins to flash. The s4 stock is fast but this tune wakes it up a bit more. Modded Euros is also super fast on shipping.

  • IE STAGE 1 AND DSG TUNE

    We picked this up for the wifes car (B8.5 S4) during the black Friday sale. I'm glad we got both the stage 1 and DSG tune at same time it's an insane difference. Feels almost as fast as my 400whp STI used to be. And a bit slower than my 400whp Evo used to be, but now that "I'm older and wiser and have hair growing out of my ears" (for those who understand that reference lol) the car is ple type fast and my wife can work her way into being comfortable with the power and speed. She isnt a normal driver I was able to teach her right, but she loves the car all over again even more than before. I also installed injen I take and modified the air box so it has direct flow into the filter I stead of I to the bottom of stock airbox and run it without the top filter cover. That alone made a noticeable difference in power and throttle sensitivity. Now the car really moves and I love to drive it. Launch control even after a lot of hard driving and heat soak still pulled a 3.7 second 0-60. I need to get around to testing when it's not heat soaked! I'm guessing maybe 3.5 seconds 0-60 with the 3600 RPM launch control setting.
