One Piece 3" Mandrel-Bent Wrinkle-Black Powder-Coated Aluminum Intake Tube directs unrestricted airflow from the massive filter to the turbo for more horsepower and torque.
Top Mounted Heat Shield Design:
aFe developed this heat shield to snap onto the top of the lower half of the factory air box to provide a hassle-free installation utilizing factory mounting locations.
Premium Hardware:
Premium hardware and clamp are used to securely mount the high flow air filter and the intake tube.

Optional Intake System Cover
For those of you who have an aFe Power Stage-2 intake system for the 15+ Audi A3/S3 L4-1.8L (t)/2.0L (t), aFe Power now offers an intake cover to help reduce air intake noise. This cover is constructed of vacuum formed ABS plastic material that bolts right up to the intake housing. This cover provides a stealthy yet aggressive style without hurting the performance of the intake.

Makes my car go 'whoosh'
I'm giving five stars for this product solely based on ease of installation. It utilizes the bottom of the factory airbox, and while the directions do leave a bit to be desired, it's straightforward enough that even a dopey mechanical novice like me could complete the install within my work day lunch break. You'll need some basic tools like torx bits, some type of clamp that can undo the tension clamp on the factory hose, and you'll also want something that helps pry the bottom of the factory airbox out so the new one fits. Having a power drill extension bit helps a lot if you have meatier hands like me.
I haven't had a chance to take the intake out for a spin, but test revs in my driveway sounded extra 'whooshy.' The turbo sound is on full display here. aFe claims actual HP gains from the increased flow as well, but I'm too lazy to actual dyno tests to check. If you want the gains without the extra Boy Racer sounds, aFe also sells a top cover that will minimize the air intake noise.

Great product easy installation
This product utilizes the factory air box making it an easier installation, no removal of the air box. You get nice turbo sounds when paired with a turbo inlet pipe and GFB DV+.
