This is a catbacke xhaust however the resonator is not off. It will not pop as loud as I assume you would want it to. It gives it a different sound tone if you are looking for one. It isn't super noisy so if you want that then this is the one you should buy. I will say, because it doesn't have that very loud noise with the resonator on, it is great for road trips. However if you want resonator off, this is not the set you want to buy. Great first experience exhaust, definetly does not make it sound like a ricer and gives car different stance due to bigger tips and gives it personality with sound. I would have liked it louder but I did not read carefully. It has been over a year and I am still VERY happy and it was very easy to install. With a lift, took about 30 minutes and instructions were very clear. It has handled everything I've thrown at it including burn outs, aggressive downshift, hard aggressive pulls, and hard launches. No complaints and have not seen or heard any typical problems like rattling, installing, and loose bolts etc. Comes shiny as hell with very good packaging. Shipping was fast, easy, and of course free. Recommend it and it might even be cheaper to buy this and then install a straight pipe later in the future. Especially if you are not sure if you want a semi quiet exhaust or a loud one. Gave it 4 stars because I wish the title was more clear about it leaving the resonator on. Hope this helps.

The exhaust is very loud as I expected without a mid muffler (resonator delete). I wanted ALL exhaust sound and removed the Audi Soundaktor to prevent interior drone. The exhaust note on the Audi makes it sound and perform like a race car! I have stage 2 with a CTS downpipe and perfectly matched Borla back. I LOVE the deep sound as much as you can have on a 4 cylinder.

Wasn’t the most optimistic about this exhaust considering there’s only one video I could find of the sound quality. Well i got it fast and just had it installed and well it sounds amazing! I bought this and paired it with a catted 3 inch down pipe and hi flow cat and it sounds amazing!!! My neighbors may not like it but it's awesome. It has a nice throaty growl at low rpms and opens up great at higher rmps, no drone inside car and sounds very good. Fitment was perfect and shipping was very fast, next day with the standard option!

Very easy and simple to install yourself if you know what your doing. The exhaust give you a nice loud note on acceleration, isn’t very droning or terrible at highway speeds. This exhaust is well worth the money, I would highly recommend it. Shipping was awesome, got it a couple of days faster than expected.

This exhaust sounds so good in my 2017 Audi A3 nice deep rumble at idle and when you get on it it’s pretty loud I love it!!
