Description
We are pleased to present the first ever cold air intake system for MK6 Jetta 1.4L TSI.
The CTS intake system is constructed from T6061 aircraft grade aluminum and offers superior heat dissipation, improved airflow and cooler intake temperatures.
The CTS air box connects seamlessly to the factory air inlet drawing cool air from outside of the engine bay, while deflecting radiant heat from the engine bay.
Improving airflow and reducing intake temperatures increases power, and fuel economy, while reducing spool up time. The turbo and the diverter valve sounds become a lot more noticeable and make the car more fun to drive!
Note: will not fit the twin-charged 1.4TSI, please see CTS-IT-880.

Super nice mod
If I'm "nit-picking" the heat shield could be a little more secure, and the grommet the intake pipe is supposed to secure to didn't sit properly in my case. However, this addition completely changes the sound and feel of the car. Makes the throttle a smidgen more responsive and the sound much more aggressive! Installation was relatively simple :) To note: I drilled a small hole into the grommet I mentioned (VW already had small indentions but it didn't go all the way through) and secured the intake pipe with a cotter pin, been fine ever since.

The aggressive sound from the intake makes a world of difference with this product, Very very satisfied!

Air box
Great product, gives a hell of a difference not just performance but also giving all kinds of noises from spull to blow off sound, only down size it’s the air box it’s not the greatest and it sit on top of a small plastic nipple from the radiator meaning if it breaks have to change the rad. Overall great product

Love it
I've had it for two years and its done nothing but make my car better, it has a nice rumble to it as i rev it and the red line can reach 8. It's surprising how much of a difference it makes!!!

Great item and amazing quality. Was shipped out to my house super fast and had no problems with delivery. A little hard to figure out at first due to the vague instructions. Besides that best thing I've bought for my Jetta so far

Very aggressive and loud
This set up has really made the motor more aggressive sounding compared to stock. i would only recommend if you like a loud intake. It really cleans up the engine bay by removing that big bulky stock air box. Only issue was the heat shield only came with one bolt to hold it down from shaking which at first caused a rattle noise. I ended up using rivets to secure it more and the rattle is gone.
