Description
One critical aspect addressed by the VTA system is reliable boost holding. Despite advancements in the latest OEM diverter valves, performance trade-offs persist. Vehicle manufacturers relocate the diverter valve to the intercooler piping to mitigate heat-related failures, but this adjustment leads to increased boost leakage. The plastic OEM diverter valve piston often fails to seal on an uneven plastic seat. The VTA system overcomes this challenge by machining an integral piston seat into its body, ensuring a dependable seal even on irregular OEM seats.
Additionally, the VTA system enhances throttle response and boost recovery. Unlike OEM electronic diverter valves, which operate in a binary fashion—either open or shut—the VTA system employs GFB's patented "pilot actuation" system. This innovative mechanism allows the VTA's piston to open and close progressively, resulting in smoother power delivery during throttle modulation. The outcome is a marked improvement in throttle response, steering clear of the abrupt changes in power associated with binary-operated factory diverter valves.
Adhering to the triumph of the DV+ design philosophy, the VTA upholds the principle: "Keep what works, replace what doesn't." This entails preserving ECU control and retaining the factory diverter's solenoid, ensuring unparalleled response time without incurring the expense of solenoid replacement, a practice adopted by some other brands. This commitment to efficiency underscores the VTA's dedication to optimizing performance while minimizing costs for the user.

Very Satisfied
I have a 2009 Mk5.5 GTI and am very pleased with difference this product made. The only modifications on my car is an aftermarket cold air intake system, and the VTA BOV. You can notice a small difference in throttle response but the real catch is the sound. The car went from making almost no sound to vvvvvshhhh every time you took your foot off the gas. It sounds even better from the outside of the car hearing it rip down the road. The sound in my opinion is not obnoxious. If you like your music loud it won't interfere and if you roll your windows up it pretty much vanishes. Overall I am very pleased with the product and would recommend it to anyone looking for the signature turbo BOV sound.

VTA
I have a mk6 gti,I installed the product hoping to have the atmosphere sound but I got nothing. The only time I hear anything is when I build boost in drive around 40mph but nothing when I let off at high rpm’s like you would expect.

Excellent
Well made blowoff valve. Easy to follow installation guide. Definitely gives the stock turbo a much louder ‘whoosh’ sound when letting off the gas.

Great Sounds, Awesome Build Quality
Great valve for these cars. I installed when the car was still stock otherwise. After IE intake and IE tune this valve comes alive. With the higher boost pressures your REALLY hear the sound when you shift or let off the gas under boost. The sound is addicting. Some say it sounds like air brakes on a bus/big rig, but having grown up around trucks I don't agree with that. It sounds awesome and is sure to turn heads if that's what you're into.

Awesome sound
If your looking for that whoooosh sound this is perfect it's easy to install took 15 to 25 min great instructions as well the only thing it doesn't tell you is that the factory airbox or aftermarket intake has to come off to access those plastic hose to run the boost tap line that's provided other then that taking a lil while to figure out its a easy install.

Good product if you are keeping stock
I bought it about a year ago and I am really happy with the sound it produces. It's always important to remember that there are practically no power gains/effects from adding this onto your vehicle.
Pros: Good sound, easy for boost tap, easy to install
Cons: if you are running extra boost from stock, be careful with the metal arms that attach itself. Mine popped off on both sides, bursting the rubber circle gaskets that keeps it air tight. My workaround for this was just by adding two zip ties to each arm for more of a hug around the pipes.

Solid product
Very happy with my purchase. It came in less than 48 hours. Took me a minute to get the adapter on but once I did the rest was easy. You can definitely hear the “whoosh” when you let of the pedal. Highly recommend if you’re thinking about getting a blow off valve.

Blow off valve
The product works as should sounds louder than most other blow off valves I’ve heard. Only thing is it’s not mentioned in the instructions that you have to take out your air intake to be able to access the vacuum tap like. Also the vacuum tap causes the line to press against a radiator line which I’m not sure how long that’ll be good for. But over all great product. Sturdy
