IE's 2nd generation Cold Air Intake for B8/B8.5 S4 or S5 3.0T engines now includes a small set of holes under the weather stripping that will allow an easy install of a new highly stylized carbon fiber lid. This carbon lid has been specially designed to not only fit the IE CAI, but to also conform to the factory engine bay for a 100% perfect fit and finish. installation
Incredibly Easy Installation
The Carbon Lid includes a set of bolts an washers needed to install to the IE heatshield. The carbon lid is pre-threaded, simply line up the holes and install the bolts with a 2.5mm Allen wrench. That's all there is to it! Have an older style Gen 1 IE intake? Not a big deal, you simply line-up the lid on the heatshield, mark the spots and drill your new holes. If modifying your current heatshield, don't forget to paint the holes you drill to prevent rust.
