Description

Looking to improve the airflow of your TSI engine than look no further than the IE TSI intake. Not only will this cold air intake increase power and throttle response in your Audi or Volkswagen but it is super easy to install and gives your engine bay a nice new look.

Direct Fit

No needless trips to the hardware store to get this intake to fit. All IE intakes come with everything you need to install this intake in a matter of minutes. 

High Flow Bellmouth

When it comes to delivering large amounts of cool air to your car's engine, IE doesn't disappoint. Their high flow bellmouth brings increased air velocity to the MAF and provides equal distribution of air from the filter into the engine. This same filter and bellmouth design has been tested to support well over 500 horsepower.

Cold Air Heat Shield

The IE heat shield found on the TSI intakes were designed to create a perfect thermal barrier stopping all of the radiant heat created in the engine bay.

How to Identify which Engine Code you have:

The TSI engine found in numerous Audi's and VW's during these years have two different engine codes. When ordering an IE intake you need to ensure you order the proper version as the CBFA engines are equipped with a secondary air injection pump (SAI) which requires a few more pieces of hardware whereas the CCTA engines do not have this requirement. 

If you are unsure, pop the hood of your car and take a look at the photos below to see which version you have.

    This is best intake on the market for the mk6 platform. The velocity stack on this intake is crazy. Easy install, parts are immaculate and the price what you get is spot on and unbeatable.

  • Installation went smoothy. Fit and finish is very good. The pictures don't quite do it justice--the filter for this thing is massive! There was a small blemish on the pipe that goes in the back that was not a result of shipping damage, but its minute, so I let it slide. Only other suggestion is the worm clamps. Would be nice if you offered them in black for a clean/more subtle look.

    Don't be alarmed if you hear a odd whining/whistling noise on acceleration during the test drive. It's your diverter valve creeping due to all the extra air you're sucking in--you'll need to either upgrade with a GFB DV+ or simply swap yours out for a revision D.
