I wanted to go full stage one I was looking around at different reviews this one looked the safest with highest gains. It took maybe 15 min to download on pc and car super simple. Now let's talk business a decent hp gain if im reading that graph right. I paired CTS Turbo intake inlet, CTS Intake W filter, CTS BOV,CTS secondary filter and CTS heatshield for intake. I was nervous my first time doing anything like this to a car. I turned it on and it worked!! I am all smiles no check engine light! Can diagnose and switch tune back to stock. I can use it on 91 pump gas easily accessible. you can really feel it after 3k. I have actually been getting better gas mileage with more HP. Long story short, it's safe, it's easy, it's fun.

Love the extra gain in power and torque. Feels just like how it should have came from VW. Having the ability to add or remove the tune on my own is perfect for my needs.

Unitronic Stage 1 ECU
First off, the guys at Unitronic are on the ball with tech support. Second, this software is a must have for any MK 7 GTI. The performance of the software is a night and day difference vs. stock. I added this software as well as an intake, new BOV, and a turbo muffler delete. The reaction time and flat out acceleration difference is stellar. No engine codes, no problems, just buckets of smiles here.
Note: Have a computer with at least an i3 chip or better for install and turn off your signature certification software blocks if using windows 10.
