    Installed the ECU and DSG tune about 2 weeks ago and have loved every minute of it! Under full throttle the car pulls much harder than stock all the way to redline. The DSG tune has greatly improved D mode by making the car more responsive. Haven't spent much time is S mode ( I prefer manual mode) but it seems as though shift points have been improved as well. Even with more frequent occurrences of WOT, I have managed to increase my gas mileage by about 3 MPG. Definitely, the best modification I've ever put on one of my cars.

  • Easy transaction and install!!

    Ordered the Uniconnect+ cable along with a Stage1+ ECU tune and Stage 1 TCU Tune on a Friday morning and was tuning my car before dinner on Monday. I didn’t have to drive to a tuner and sit the waiting room for an hour. Now for the tune itself..........all smiles!!! Smooth linear power and smooth crisp shifts, stock like manners until you push the peddle. Love it, if your on the fence just do it!

  • Good all around tune at a great price.

    I bought this combo because I wanted to get off the Neuspeed PM I had. I wanted a real tune instead of a piggyback. Of course the DSG also badly needed a tune. The stock programming is less than desirable.

    I mainly bought this because I could flash from home, that and the fact that it seemed less aggressive than the APR tune. I need my tuned car to last for another 2-3 years with no issues.

    As far as raw power goes, it feels about the same as the Neuspeed on the +7 PSI setting. The power in the lower RPM's and higher RPM's is improved with the tune. I feel satisfied knowing the ECU is properly running and not being tricked by a piggyback. The tune has the raw power AND refinement through the rev range you expect.

    DSG tune made a huge difference in drive-ability , thats for sure. This is how the DSG should come stock from the factory.

    Only reason im docking a star is because I could not get tech support (from unitronic) when I needed it. I called during business hours multiple times and was given voicemail.

  • Wow...Don't Hesitate

    I have a 2015 GTI that I bought used. 2015's are the biggest concerns with potential turbo issues. That is a big part of why I choose Unitronic for my tune. It seems pretty unanimous within the VW community that Unitronic is one of the safest tunes out there. With that being said, I honestly worried that the difference wouldn't be a big of an impact as I was hoping. I could not have been more wrong. The car with the 1+ tune is absolutely incredible. The car is a completely different animal. I have zero regrets about going with Unitronic for my tuning.

    In regards to the TCU tune, it is equally as impressive. The car shifts noticeably harder now and with more aggression. It really complements the 1+ ECU tune perfectly. Drive mode is so much more friendly now and Sports mode is not annoying like the stock tune, but is just exactly how it should have come. Holds gears until about 3k instead of 4k rpms and is overall, just better.

    UniConnect Cable was easy to use and no issues there. I actually ran into a problem while flashing. I have a fairly slow internet connection so the flash probably took a bit longer than normal. The battery charger I had hooked up...the ground slipped off the battery at some point so it wasn't actually working. During the final check after flashing, it gave me an error that the ECU could not be found. I emailed Unitronic and I had an incredibly quick response. They checked on their end and said the flash went through perfect and I was good to go. Re-Hooked up the cable to check and sure enough it was all good.

    I couldn't be happier and will definitely stay Unitronic with all of my tuning issues in the future.
