Very impressive
Love how it smooths out the shifting and seems to have more torque. Maybe because there doesnt seem to be any lag. As usual, flawless customer service, easy to install at home. Flawless.

The oem dsg tune is indeed extremely sluggish and upshits too soon putting you in 6th gear even before you reach 50 mph. I expected more from Unitronic’s “ optimized shifting points “, it still upshits too soon thus not utilizing the powerband of a tuned vehicle.
For $700 dollars and having many years of R&D, I truly think that I did not get my hard earned money worth.
Other features ( elimination of kick down when in M) works as expected. Shitfs are not any quicker than stock, another disappointment.
Installation was full of issues mainly because it relys on Microsoft software platform. Many calls had to be made to Unitronic in order to work out the software obstacles. I feel that the tune should be available for Cobb users.
All in all I feel that I overpaid and didn’t get what I expected and what is advertised.
I’m not sure I can recommend it based on my experience.
Not for $700 dollars.

Unitronic Stage 2 DSG Tune for Mk 7 Gti
The install was quick (less than 5 minutes).It is working just as I expected.It shifts quick and smooth.If someone drove my car now without ever driving a stock gti,they would think that the factory programmed all of them this way.No issues or odd behavior. Best mod I've done so far. Marvin D
