This OEM European headlight switch will allow the use of the parking lights by themselves (Mk6 models require a trigger wire). It will also allow the use of the Rear fog light on European tail lights (requires recoding and a wire run to the tail lights)

At Home Feature:

When the occupants leave the vehicle, the headlights, the courtesy lights in the exterior mirror housings, the tail lights and the number-plate lighting initially remain on and are switched off automatically after a delay period (coming home). The same lights are switched on when the driver unlocks the doors. In this way the car’s own outside lights help to illuminate the way to and from the door of the house whenever you arrive or set off in the dark.
