Pre-Install Check:

We recommend removing the fuse from the wiring harness prior to installation. You should have: (1)Relay (2)Yellow Wires w/factory connectors (1) Red w/end-hoop (1)Black w/end-hoop (1)Blue w/factory connector (2)Nuts with washers.

Step 1: Mount Relay – recommended location is on the back of the radiator support cover. Make sure it is away from any wires or hoses and safe to drill a small hole. Pins should point downward.

Step 2: Run power lines from relay to headlight connectors. Locate Pin2 on Light Harness. If you look closely at the driver-side headlight plug(car-side) , there are small numbers around the round edge of the plug. These numbers specify each pin. Once you locate pin-2 (it should be empty). Some vehicles have a small green rubber plug in the pin-2 location and will need to be removed. This can be easily done with a small flat screwdriver or pick. You will then install one of the yellow wires coming from the relay to pin-2. Repeat this for the passenger side headlight plug. Make sure the connectors are secure by lightly pulling back on the wires and making sure they do not come out. If they come out, you will need to slightly bend the retaining clip on each metal connector for more grab and reinsert it.

Step 3: Wire trigger-wire from engine bay to your headlight switch. The trigger wire is the blue wire coming from the relay. You will need to route this through to your dashboard. There are 2 factory holes that you can use to pass the wire through. Select one of the two: (1) Above the brake booster, to the left, there is an available grommet. (2) Along the firewall reflective material behind the motor, there is a slight ‘U’ shaped cut out.
Look carefully and you will see it. Lift it up and you can get access through there. On the inside of the car, remove the sound absorption material from above the pedals. This will allow you to see and pull and fish the blue wire through. Run the wire up a clear path toward your headlight switch.

Step 4: Remove and disconnect switch. The switch can be removed easily by first turning it to the off ‘O’ position. Then press inwards into the switch toward the front of your car. You will notice the knob portion go into the switch. With the knob pressed all the way in, turn the knob clockwise as much as it can go. This will release the locking mechanism. Now with the knob in the same position, pull the *knob only* directly out towards you. If the knob does not slide out, make sure the knob is pressed all the way in and is at about the 1 o’clock position. With the knob out, squeeze on the locking clips to release the harness from the knob. It is important you do not pull on the wires or the wiring harness itself. Hold only the switch and the connector only. Now pull your blue trigger wire through.

Step 5: Installing the Trigger wire to the Switch Connector. Look carefully on the Light switch connector you just disconnected for small numbers. Look for the side that has numbers 1-9. Locate Pin 8 and be sure to first look at how the other wires are installed and their orientation. Now install your blue wire the same way to Pin 8. Pin 8 is the fog output. Make sure the metal connector is secure by lightly pulling back on the blue wire and making sure it does not come out. If it does come out, you will need to slightly bend the retaining clip on the small metal connector for more grab and reinsert it. Once you have the wire installed, make sure you clean up your install by securing your wire with zip-ties. Stay away from the steering column. It is a good idea to move your tilt steering to make sure your fog wire is not interfering. Then you can reinstall your light switch by doing the reverse of Step4.

Step 6: Connecting the Power and Ground. Connect the Red wire to the battery positive terminal and the Black wire to the negative battery terminal. You could also ground the Black wire to a different ground if you prefer. Some cars will have an available terminal which you can use the provided nuts to secure them. If not, secure the wires under the available nuts already on the terminal. Check that all connections are correct and secure.

Install the fuse and test out your lights!
