MK6 GTI PROJECT CAR SERIES

MK6 Project Car Series

Modded Euros is pleased to announce our Project MK6 GTI. Our goal of this project was to take a mild mannered daily driver and turn it into a street tuned hatch that not only remains reliable but can keep up at the track. When it came time to modify this car, no expense was spared when looking at our product catalog and picking a wide variety of products that when combined truly transformed this VW to a new level.

EPISODE 1: MAINTENANCE AND STOCK DYNO NUMBERS

In this first episode, we take a look at maintenance on our 2011 Volkswagen GTI. We purchased our GTI with around 70,000 miles on the odometer. Before we start adding power we wanted to complete some routine maintenance and get the car on the dyno to gather our base numbers.

Our stock power numbers for the car was 189 horsepower and 198 lbs of torque.

Don't worry, we are not done there, stay tuned to our next video below where we add even more power to our GTI.

Stock Dyno Numbers: 189whp / 198wtq

EPISODE 2: INTAKE, EXHAUST, TURBO OUTLET PIPE, THROTTLE PIPE, STAGE 1+ & STAGE 2 ECU TUNES

In our second episode, we go over the parts and software that are required for Stage 1+ & Stage 2. We are using parts from Unitronic & CTS Turbo on this portion of the build. Now that we have our stock power figures we head back to the Dyno for power numbers on both Stage 1+ & Stage 2. We also give you a brief overview of how the Uniconnect+ at home flashing solution works.

Our Stage 1+ power numbers for the car were 230 horsepower and 259 lbs of torque at the wheels, while our Stage 2 power numbers were 256 horsepower and 291 lbs of torque.

Don't worry, we are not done there, stay tuned to our next video below where we upgrade our brakes, suspension and wheels.
